Price war on LAX - SYD route predicted for next year.

Well, it could have been additional good news if Delta was planning to stop in Fiji, but I guess that won't be happening.

I predict....no price war on that route.In spite of the SMH wishful thinking, the route is just too profitable.

Raro, (and others) you might be interested to see that Air Tahiti is no longer flying ditrect to Sydney - they now will stop in Auckland.

Qantas jet recently had to divert to Fiji for a sick passenter, and then the plane ended up stuck there overnight after a warning light came on and local engineers couldn't fix it. Worse places to be stuck for the night, right?

Perhaps Qantas will decide it was a worthwhile detour -- bring on the price war ;)
