Private Sail Charter Yasawas/ Mamanucas

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

My fiance and I will be honeymooning in Fiji in early September. Before heading to Taveuni for a week, we want to private charter a small sail vessel from the main island and find some pretty secluded beaches in the Yasawas/Mamanucas.

We will have about three days and three nights for the sail trip- would it be feasible to get out as far as the Southern Yasawas during this time?

As romantic as a sailboat sounds I'd recommend trading the wind power for some diesel fuel and an engine so you can enjoy some time at your destination. For that matter, for the price of a yacht large enough to afford the privacy for the activities usually associated with a honeymoon you could afford a round-trip helicopter to a nice resort.

Secluded beaches may sound romantic as well, but you may want to think about fresh linen and candlelight vs sand, salt and the curiosity of local fishermen... ;-)

I reckon H2ooh is right, but if you insist, here is one...

Don't know anything about them, but 3 days would get you into the southern Yasawas.
For this money there are some pretty good resorts in the Yasawas.
Don't get much better than this... http://www.likulikulagoon.com/
