Rapa ITI RAPA

I am a travel agent and have had a very interesting request.
Not sure if anyone can assist with this,
I have a client who has had a lifetime dream to get to RAPA ITI (French Polynesia)
Has anyone ever been there, and if so did you acheive it out of Papeete?? i believe there is a freighter that operates but not sure when and where from ??
Any hints would be appreciated

The Aranui 3 is a freight ship which doubles as a cruise ship. It serves the Marquesas Islands out of Papeete, but I' mot sure about the island your client has requested.

The Aranui 3 did a tour of the southern islands once a few years back. I was told that they did not plan a repeat because the ocean was too rough. The sailor at the bottom of the outside steps, who is helping passengers in and out of the whale boats, was up to his neck in water when the Aranui dipped in and out of the waves. Needless to say, the passengers were taken to a calmer bay in the whale boats. That trip in January must have been quite an experience.

I took the trip to the Marquesas twice in July when the Pacific honored its name; it was as smooth as glass.
