Sepik River guide

A few months ago I posted an enquiry re Joseph Kone, guide on the Sepik River.

Well, I eventually was able to contact him and met up with him in Wewak and made a five day journey with him travelling with him to Pagwi by bus then by long boat to Wagu, Yessan, Mayo,Swagup then back to Ambunti, Palambei and Kanganaman.He is a great guide, always courteous and helpful and absolutely reliable and honest.

He is not too easy to contact as he has to go to Wewak to access his email, the Ambunti P.O. not always operating and I found it impossible to get through from an Australian landline to his mobiles.

I visited the area in 2001 and Joseph was my guide. He is absolutely reliable and honest. I was working on a 45 day expedition to hike/canoe the Sepik from its spring down to Bismark sea. I lost contact with Joseph and am quite happy to see that he is well. Thank you for the email address
