September 2011 honeymoon

My fiance and I have chosen Fiji for our upcoming honeymoon. We will be spending our first week in Denarau and plan on staying somewhere in the Yasawa chain for our second week. We are trying to decide between Blue Lagoon and Octopus. Both have great reviews, just wondering if someone has stayed at both that can compare the two? Also open for suggestions on other resorts in that area.. Thank you!

Octopus has a much more beautiful location while Blue Lagoon offers more enticing day-tripping possibilities.
Though really just about anywhere in the Yasawas will seem like Paradise after Denarau, where the beach is as ugly as the hotels themselves are plush!

For once, i dont entireli agree with Laszlo.
The beach at Blue Lagoon is much nicer than Octopus. Octopus is much closer to Denerau , saving 3 hours each way in the boat. Also Octopus has nicer Bures and also the food is better.
Finally, the daytrips from Octopus were quite good , I thought.
