Shangra La Resort Fiji

Hi everyone;

Just need some advice on where we are staying - Shangri la Resort.

Heard a lot of bad reports about the place but have also heard a lot of positive reports. It seems very polarizing.

Never been to Fiji before going with 2 other families all with little kiddies (including ourselves - 10 and 7 yrs old).

Would like to know great value for money places to eat, best Seafood restaurants and where to buy cheap alcohol as I have heard the cost at the Resort is crazy.

Also would like to know where any cool markets are?

I would buy some alcohol at the duty free on arrival in Nadi, hopefully there is a fridge in your rooms, its 11 kms to sigatoka, and for you all I would go by taxi, but there is a bus going regularly as well, there is a market in sigatoka but not for clothing, though there are clothing shops, and places to eat, its worth a visit, not sure about seafood places as I'm vegetarian but there are lots of fish and crab in the waters.
