Slightly Odd Accomodation Question for Aitutaki on Cooks

Hello all

We have narrowed down our Island search and decided to head to the Cook Islands, principally Aitutaki for 4 days or so for the end of our honeymoon. Whilst Aitutaki seems amazing in every way, it also appears to be swarming with mosquitos when we will be there ((mid-april)!

A my very soon to be wife has some sort of allergic reaction to mozzie bites this might not be the ideal end. I've read that the mozzies seem to be less prevalent on some parts of the island (north not facing the lagoon) - could anyone confirm this? I'm hopeful that staying out on the water, staying in (I'm assuming most places have suitable mosquito nets over the windows etc?), mozzie spray etc and we should be good, but I'd like to stay in the least target area as such.
