South Pacific guides available by chapter

Over the years many of you told us you'd like to take just the parts of our books you really need. We thought about how best to do this, and last year launched Pick & Mix, which enables you to buy, download and print individual chapters from Lonely Planet guides in digital (PDF) format.

Today we added our South Pacific guidebooks to Pick & Mix. The entire range of South Pacific guides is now available by chapter (with the exception of Papua New Guinea - we're waiting for the new edition and will add it sometime around April).

The first chapter of each guide is free to download, and you can see it for yourself here.

This is still a new thing for us, and suggestions or feedback on how to improve it would be very much appreciated.

You have not mentioned Solomon Islands. The most recent guide was (infuriatingly) included with Papua New Guinea. Will this still be the case?

Sounds like this isn't the news you want to hear, but yes, the next edition of the Papua New Guinea guide will include the Solomon Islands. And the new edition will be coming out soon...

I'd also point out that because the new edition will be available in Pick & Mix, you'll be able to get just the chapters you want.

Why is Solomons mixed with PNG? The old LP guidebooks on Solomons didn't have enough information and now it's being cut back again?
