South Pacific - where's the Snorkelling and diving paradise?

Looking for some honeymoon ideas for the South Pacific next July. Any locations I should consider would be much appreciated.

Definitely Solomon Islands - unless you are looking for 5-star accommodation.

The golden rule is the closer you get to an imaginary vertical line which runs pretty much straight up near PNG the more diversity of sea life you get.
The further away you travel either side the less diverse it gets.
As for the quality that will be highly dependent on so many factors not to mention human induced damage.

Take a look at Uepi Island Resort - Solomon Islands. Brilliant diving and snorkelling, amazing food - and cabin 6, newly renovated and perfect for a honeymoon - at the end of the resort, private, romantic, right on the water. Not exactly conventional 5 star - but by far the best in the Solomons. But hey, who wants sterile hotel rooms and hordes of guests? Small guest numbers, stunningly beautiful surroundings and very comfortable accomodations - that's my idea of 5 star!

The snorkelling is mighty fine in Aitutaki in the Cook Islands as well... It is also very popular as a honeymoon destination.

Hi, I would send you to Taveuni in Fiji. Great diving, sensational snorkelling and some great romantic spots - Taveuni Palms, Paradise Taveuni, Maravu Resort. Check it out.
