suggestions pls !Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
Hi fellow travellers, we are looking for the perfect destination, but it’s not easy ! Any ideas ?
The first place to come to mind is Lonnoc Beach on Santo , in Vanuatu. Fiji, Tonga and probably Samoa could all offer cheaper options, but no place I know in those countries would offer such a great combination of splendid beach, good snorkeling and easy access to traditional cultures and pristine rainforests. | 1
sonds lovely, I'll check for more info | 2

thank you Laszlo, it really looks like a dream destination but I think it is not a good time to go Vanuatu as there are cyclones: I'll sure keep it in mind for another time, in a more suited season. enjoy ! d | 4
I can think of a few great options: If you prefer the South Pacific despite the fact you will be in the cyclone season, you should look at the http://www.matrikibeachhuts.com/ on Aitutaki (Cook Islands) or http://www.vaotolodge.com/ on Ofu Island (American Samoa). Jan/Feb is a great time to visit Central America and the Caribbean. Check out http://www.slickrock.com/ on Glover's Atoll in Belize, http://www.losarrecifestulum.com/ in Tulum, Mexico or http://kuanidup.com/Home.html in the San Blas Islands of Panama. http://www.jericoacoara.com/j1/ is another amazing place in Northeast Brazil and you could time it for a little Carnival fun if desired. Have a great time! -Mike | 5
thank you both...now I've got some studying to do ! d | 6
One last place to consider in Central America, The Corn Islands in Nicaragua: http://www.bigcornisland.com/index.html | 7
Most of SE Asia also has good weather in that season, and it's cheap. | 8
