Unedited, pure, and simple. A meditation on remembering to notice the beauty: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=38406185</a> Shot in the National Park on the south shore of Ofu. Music by me.
Stunning... Thanks. My favourite time of day in Samoa is getting up at dawn, walking down to the beach... The air is warm, humid but not yet hot...Like a wonderful greenhouse... No human activity yet...The birds are starting their calls and it is wonderous to look out to see, with the tropical thunderstorms already building in the distance... with the apricots, greens, yellows on the horizon behind them. | 1
You've got that right, islandboi321. Morning in the islands is something to be experienced and appreciated. For this video I was up at ~3:30am and making my way through the dark to the National Park. The sandy road looked like a path of silver snaking through the dark. The Southern Cross was my only companion, following along just over my right shoulder. When I cut from the road and onto the beach I could see seven or eight streetlights in distant Olosega Village flickering in the warm air, the only evidence of civilization breaking the primordial illusion created by the insect hum and birdsong mixing with rumble of the surf far out on the reef. I climbed onto a lava bolder, set up my tripod and camera, and watched and waited as the day eased its light and colors out from behind the islands. | 2
Tell me about it...I had to walk the last 5 of my 6 years, 4 blocks from my apt., to the studio with Rainmaker Mt. and Pago Harbor on my right. (left side walking back of course)! | 3
