Surfing FijiCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
Hi, We will be staying on the Coral Coast, Fiji in January. We will be staying at either the Warwick or Shangri-La. What's the best/cheapest way to get to the surf spots? Would it be best to hire a car for the week or get a taxi? How much does it generally cost to organise this? Can we surf at Hideaway even though we aren't staying there? Any info regarding surfing in Fiji would be much appreciated.
Jasmine, if you mean surf with waves the best place is at Natadola (Intercontinental), you can access the beach as it is public beach, the Shangri-la is the closest resort and would have things for the children, I wouldn't hire a car as Taxis are cheap and the bus service is OK if you want to get places. The Shangri-la is close to the Queens road but the Intercontinental is quite away from the main road. | 1
