Myself and some friends (four of us, 18 years old, from Canada (Calgary) are planning to head this way - we are looking for a great party place, safe, fun, all inclusive - lots of variety of things to do. Any suggestions.
The best advice I could give you would be to go to Fiji instead-all found. Tahiti is rather expensive and Albertans speak little French. | 1
Tahiti is very very very expen$ive. You'd probably get more bang for your buck in Fiji. | 2
Just as a footnote, the South Pacific is NOT the Caribbean if this is what you're hoping for. If you've been to all-inclusives in Cuba, Mexico or the D.R., you will be disappointed in this type of experience in the South Pacific (and Tahiti will be VERY pricey. Have you looked at costs yet for there? Pretty hefty for 18 year olds and you'll "drop your knitting" when you see how much it costs to holiday there) That being said, there are "party" places like Beachcomber island in Fiji that are geared for a young, boozy, fun-filled clientele. There are other islands in the Yasawas that are also geared to this style. Fiji is your best bet... Go to Tahiti when you're older and rich! :) | 3
Great PARTY PLACE? Head off to BORACAY ISLAND in central Philippines. The best beach in the world, with lots of PARTYNG. Nice clear water and white sandy beach, you wouldnt think it's sand. Google Boracay images for the preview... You can probably stay in Manila for a night at Malate Area for nice partying then head off to Boracay by plane, 45 mintues away and will cost you around 20 dollars per person... Be sure to reserve your accommodation there since a lot of foreigners are heading to it too. The Philippines is part of the Pacific anyway, from there you can head off to Palau Islands... | 4
There's lots of Partying in Papeete, but I wouldn't consider it safe. Be careful in the bars, not all of the beautiful women are women (Advice given to my 18 year old son by one of his friend's Dad). The boys had fun and did survive the trip. Mom PS looks like there are 2 Island Boi(Y)s now | 5

Yes, I sense identity theft... Who wants to do the coconut leaf flogging? | 7
Boracay has some nice beaches but I wouldn't say they are the best in the world. It's all down to personal opinion though I guess. | 8
