Late flight into Papeete (arriving 8pm) with early flight out to Bora Bora at 7am the next day...Don't want to pay huge amounts for the taxi out and hotel accommodation for such a short turn around...
Any real nearby accommodation...or has anyone done the stay in the airport before? Happy to do this option to avoid paying through the nose for what will effectively be an expensive transit at a hotel.
Any advice appreciated!!

| bougy07:09 UTC28 Apr 2007 | Tahiti Airport motel is extremely expensive. Last November we have been offered the most expensive room only 189 Euro
per night/ person. Dormitory 39 Euro pp they are hiding. Even the taxi was to high, bc has to drive long distance, by foot it is very short
but with luggage the stairs are to steep. We decided to sleep on benches in airport. Our group was 8 people and we took shifts. At night
there is not to much busy. Coming October we will do same.
