I highly recommend a trip to Tahiti is a fascninating country to explore, photograph and to spend some time enjoying a completly different world. But, in the city of Faaa is very diferent. I have a few photos up on my website:

One tends to forget that along with the beauty of the South Pacific islands, there is also overwhelming poverty in many of them, as well... I often think this when I have travelled to Samoa and Tonga... such paradoxes.

Thank you for sharing your photos and showing me a side of Tahiti that I did not get to see. Your work is wonderful!

The smell of lots of diesel trucks and buses and traffic are the main things I think of when I think of Papeete, along with the semi-open-air market.
