Tahiti Itinerary

Im heading to Tahiti probably for 14 days.

My rough itinerary is as follows:

Tahiti - Papeete
Tahiti Ini
Moorea (by ferry)
Maupiti (by air or ferry?) - is this island worth?
Bora Bora (by air or ferry?)
Tahiti (by air or ferry)

I give in this is the exact copy of an itinerary from LP Tahiti guide book. What is in question is if it is a good idea and what means of transport I should use between islands. More over, is island Maupiti indeed worthwhile?

To go to BoraBora, I would take the plane. It's quite some distance from Tahiti and I am not sure there is a ferry at all.
There is a passenger ferry boat from Bora Bora to Maupiti, but you can also take the plane. As far as I know, the small ferry needs good weather because the passage through the reef of Maupiti is narrow. Maupiti itself is small and untouristy.

Looked like the ferry to Bora Bora would be quite an adventure. We went by plane.
