Tahiti with kids

We are planning a family trip to French Polynesia, likely the Society Islands in the fall, 2013. At that time, we will have a 3.5 year old and a 6 mo. baby. Grandparents may be joining us, or another family. Does anyone have experience traveling with kids in Tahiti, etc? Also, we want to rent a condo or house, so any thoughts on that would be appreciated as well.

You may have more response from the forum at www.tahiti-explorer.com or at the tripadvisor forum. Not too many of the posters on here have traveled to Tahiti with children. I can recommend a house rental in Huahine but I was not sure of where in French Polynesia you plan to travel.
