The Cruise Ship Crowd.

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Love 'em or Hate 'em, but they are ALWAYS entertaining when they arrive on tropical islands.

Cruise ship passenger "discovers" Rarotonga

Didn't we do this before?

At any rate, still as funny as ever...

I know I cringe when a horde of them arrive at Lalomanu... They're so, like, cruise shippy or something... And they're always dressed for AirCon and in TOTALLY unsensible shoes. And when their mobs are finished with a bar on the beach, it means there's NO COLD BEER for the rest of the afternoon!

I love when he scrutinizes the NZ ten dollar note in the shop... Americans just love the money of other countries.

:)

I remember islandboi posted this a year ago. I still don't get it. The guys there were having a good time on their vacation.

New Zealand's currency is very interesting with the clear area on it.

I was thinking about the same sil- I didn't listen but it was an interesting opportunity for me to see a bit of Rarotonga- the real part, not just the travelogue stuff. And makes me want to go back to the islands so badly I can smell the frangipani- and feel the water.
