This TT4 really SUCKS!!!!!!Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
I hate to say it after only two days, but this TT4 really sucks. Apparently they have even deleted the poll concerning whether the TT3 should be brought back!!! It was 90% in favor of bringing back the old one when they deleted it. I e-mailed them---they don't even list moderator contacts anymore!!!---and complained that the latest postings/replies were NOT at the top. They have yet to reply to me, which is reasonable---BUT---now they show me replying to a thread on Nov. 24, when I actually last replied to it way back in October!!! I don't mind the ads, that's to be expected. But it seems to take a L>O>O>O>ng time to even post a reply, and of course even longer to find the most recent ones. I think we ALL need to e-mail them via their "contact us" form, or some other way, or I fear it will never change. If it doesn't change, I'm outta here. Maybe one of you computer savvy types could set up an alternative Pacific Islands bulleting board????? Not a bad idea!!! Even if it cost a bit, and you had to put some small ads on it to pay for the costs, it could work, at least for the Pacific Islands. Just a thought, but please reply to this and let me know if anyone wants to handle this big project.
I'd be all for abandoning this disaster, but let's admit it: Even if a new, way better forum were set up somewhere, it would never get as much traffic as TT does, simply because folks find TT via LP. Just like any other guidebook (like Moon's) will never sell nowhere nearly as many copies as LP ones (poor as they might be) simply because users buy LP by default. Not that I am happy about these things, just being a realist. But like you, I'm also really upset by this horror called TT4. And moderators now seem to give free run to advertisers (like one on this branch, recommending his company in every post) while dealing ruthlessly with disgruntled TTers. The deleting of that poll is a prime example. Like you, I'm considering to abandon the whole thing. | 1
With all good intentions - I do no understand this new system. You guys at TT: please re-think this system again, it's no longer fun to open this bulleting board. | 2
