If you missed the news we’re switching over from this version of Thorn Tree (which we launched in 2006) to the fifth iteration of the forum. We’re aiming to have the beta available to everyone on Wednesday 19 March (GMT).
There are a few things that we’d like you to know and one thing we need your help with to make this transition a bit smoother.
1. THORN TREE OFFLINE
We’re taking the forums offline for a couple of days from Monday 17 March (GMT) while we migrate the data from the old platform to the new platform. If everything goes to plan, we’re hoping to be back online with the new look on Wednesday 19 March (GMT). Check communityLP for updates during this time.
2. SOME CHANGES IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS
Switching over from TT4 to TTV means some pretty heavy lifting in the backend. We need to switch over all user accounts and to do this from Monday 24 February, when you log in, you’ll be asked to confirm your email address.
3. UPDATE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
Please make sure that the email address associated with your member profile is up to date.
Can’t remember what email you signed up with?
Here’s how to check
* Sign in to your account.
* Hover your cursor over your avatar.
* From the dropdown menu, select ‘settings’. Under your profile picture and name details you’ll see the email address text field. If you still have access to this email account, then you’re all done. If not, please change it to an address that you are able to access.
4. REGISTRATION AND AVATAR CHANGES ON HOLD
From Monday 10 March, new registrations and avatar changes will be on hold.
