Through Pacific Eyes

As some of the "regulars" on here may recall, last year I had the imme=nse good fortune to participate in the inaugural Emerging Pacific Leadership Dialogue. Due to the success of that conference, planning is now commencing for EPLD 2009.

As with any dialogue process, an important goal of the conference is to continue to foster links between Australia and our Pacific Regional community and to ensure that the connections and dialogue continue between the conferences.


EPLD Alumni Australia have recently completed and launched a publication entitled Through Pacific Eyes. It is intended to promote and raise awareness of the Pacific Islands within the Australian community. Through Pacific Eyes is a collection of stories and experiences from the Pacific, which highlight great achievements and challenges faced by small island states in the Pacific. The guidebook focuses on four key themes: land; sea; people; and culture. The publication can be viewed and downloaded here:
