travel options for PNG

Hi. I'm travelling to PNG with a friend in November. We'd like to sample a bit of snorkelling, cultural and conservation. We're thinking of traveling to Alotau or Tufi then on to West New Britain. Does any recommendations or ideas of what to do and where? Cheers.
