Travelling and diving New Britain

Hey,
I'm planning to travel and dive New Britain in March. Thinking about landing in Hoskins and working my way up to Rabaul and Kokopo, then possibly heading over to New Ireland. Has anyone been up through that way and can recommend where to stay and to go and see.

Kabaira might be a good option for diving.

I have very basic info on both islands on the PNG link in my signo line, and searching this forum using their names should get you a fair amount, too.

I preferred New Ireland to New Britain.

Definately go to Kavieng in new Ireland, the islands are incredibly beautiful between kavieng and New Hanover. Not sure what your budget is but I've stayed at the Malagan lodge a few times and it's gorgeous. Otherwise, if you travel out from Kavieng to one of the islands, there are heaps of hotel 'huts' you can stay in which are adjacent to local villages...
