two days in Suva -- how to get outdoors?

Hi folks I'm in Suva for a measly two days later this month for work, and would love to get out of the city to explore. Ideally hiring a kayak, a catamaran or something to get on the water, but alternatively going for a bush walk somewhere. Preferably not a package tour. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dunno about kayaking, but for jungle walks the Colo-i- Suva reserve is within easy reach and has decent trails.
