Two sailing companions needed- West New Britain/Ireland PNG

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi,

A friend and I are looking into chartering a yacht for 3-5 days between the 4th and 9th of January 2009.

The cost of private hire is $920.00 per night with all meals, excursions, snorkelling and fishing gear included.

That would be $690 per person for 3 nights, or $1150 per person for 5 nights.

We are both 25, female, from Sydney and pretty laid back.

If anyone is interested in jumping in on this charter please get in contact.

Hey,

My name's Andrew, from the Central Coast, 30 y/o.

A friend and I are planning a south pacific trip around the time of your charter. We are hoping to find some decent waves and enjoy the local culture (wherever it may be). A yachting adventure might fit in nicely.

(I was checking this forum for info on surf breaks and prevailing weather conditions. Maybe another door opens.)

Are you guys self-skippering? I crewed a beautiful cat from Singapore to Phuket late last year (Malacca Straight) with 4 on board - awesome. Google 'innforapenny' for the blog. Its part of a circumnavigation rally called Bluewater.

My travel buddy Snowy is less experienced sailing-wise, but he's a fit and cluey lad, so he would no doubt take to it and learn a lot from the experience.

Anyway, making an expression of interest, would be pleased to hear a little more about your plans.

Kind regards
AJ Smith

In December 2008, first quarter of 2009 would like to go sailing.
For now it is my husband (36) and me ( 27).
We would prefer to rent our own sailing boat, and split the adventure/ cost with other crew members. So, we need sailing companions with sailing experience. It will be a lot easier to navigate with more then "one captain" and also sharing boat cost is a plus!

Last year we sailed the VBI for a week, it was a blast !!!

If anyone is interested, please let me know.
Location and Exact times is flexible at this time…..would love to go back to BVI
