| fishoutofwater00:38 UTC07 Oct 2010 | Hi all
My boyfriend and I are thinking of booking a four day holiday to Vanuatu at the end of the month till the beginning of Nov. Before we dish out the cash for the flights (which are pretty resonable!) we were wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for us:
-
Is it a good time to go to Vanuatu in terms of the weather?
-
We are both water babies and we love swimming, snorkelling and diving so we'd probs like to be close enough to beautiful water to be able to do this. We also just want to chill out and be able to go and get our own food from shops / markets and have the option of eating out also. Which is the best part of Vanuatu for this?
-
We are pretty easy about where we stay... we aren't really that keen on a resort set-up but a bungalow would be nice...taking into consideration that we would not want it to be TOO basic but aren't really into the resort idea any suggestions?
-
When I search for locations that kind of fit the bill turtle bay keeps popping up... any comments about this?
-
Is there good swimming, snorkelling and diving close to port vila? If so maybe we could just find somewhere there. Or is Santo much better... I am all for crystal blue water and marine life!
Cheers guys

I visited in November-December myself and it was fine.

Probably Santo, but even Vila.

Santo has richer marine life, but even Vila has decent possibilities, such as the Erakor Lagoon.
