VANUATU Itinerary and cost

Hi dear friends.
After westernsamoa, Fiji, Tonga & Cook I'm thinking to visit Vanuatu. A msut for me will be TANNA Is. for the Volcano. Of course EFATE and thinking about ESPIRITU SANTO.
Do you have any suggestion for my itinerary.
I think is not worthwhile visiting PENTECOST since I'll be in Vanuatu in late August so no chance to see tha jumping.
What about the cost? I always try to find a bed in Hostel dormitories when available.
Do you think Vanuatu is affordable for budget travellers?

You will find Vanuatu more expensive than Fiji, Tonga or Samoa, but it doesn't have to be very expensive.
Pretty much the only dorms are in Vila, elsewhere budget places are very simple bungalows - see this site for an overview of such places with rates, clicking on the islands of your choice on the map first. And be prepared not to meet many, or even any other budget travellers!
The locals are the friendliest I met in the South Pacific though, so I'd say it's well worth visiting.
