Volunteering

Hi My wife and I are looking for an opportunity to do some volunteer work in the Pacific from December through February. I am a teacher, a sports coach, and have worked with troubled youth, my wife has an MBA and is a senior govt. dept. manager. I am aware this isn't the greatest time for teaching, and the length of time is relatively short so I have been having trouble finding a placing.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Many of the volunteer groups in the Pacific are church-based, so you might find one of the churches with a Pacific connection could use your skills. The biggest problem is that from late November to mid-January the schools will be on holiday, and many businesses wind down over Christmas.
