Volunteering throughout the Pacific with own child

We're looking into volunteering in the Pacific Islands next year for 1-3 months and have a 3 year old daughter.

Wondering if anyone has volunteered with their own kids, any recommendations or ideas.

Do you have specific skills that are useful and hope to have your costs covered? Are you looking at one of these "volunteering" experiences which you pay for?, or do you just hope to do something useful, somewhere, at your own cost?

You are very unlikely to find a volunteer organistation which would cover our fares for as short a period as 1-3 months.

Depends on where you are with a child. Many people have nannies- and there are also nursery schools in many places- often run by people there volunteering. Nannies are often very very cheap and also do housework.
