Warwick Hotel - Coral Coast/Dive School

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi Guys,

We are staying a week at the Warwick on 3rd Feb (not our choice but my sisters). I am panicking that its going to rain the whole week but its what you make of it!

I am reading some of the posts here and everyone is saying how bad the coral coast is. Is the snorkelling etc really that bad? Also is it fairly easy to take day trips to Suva/Nadi stuff like that or even just little day trips to the other islands?

Also they have a dive school onsite. Does anyone have any reviews on them as we where thinking about getting our PADI Open Water Dice Certification with them they said they charge F$680 with credit card payment.

Thanks guys!

"everyone is saying how bad the coral coast is" - it's not BAD. The snorkelling is not great , but the beaches are in many parts (incl near the Warwick) idyllic white sand. BTW the Warwick, was, I think, the Hyatt in a previous life, so it is quite nice (or was , when I visited about 8 years ago !)

Yes, its easy to visit other places - Nadi, Suva , but especially Sigatoka, Natadola, cultural centre etc
