| ye olde thorn tree06:14 UTC16 Dec 2002 | I will be in Fiji idefinitely as a stopover on my way to AUS from the US. I would like to spend most of my time surfing and relaxing. Tavarua is too expensive considering I may be there for a while. I've read that the Sigatoka River mouth has good waves but that staying at Club Masa is a little sketchy. Anyone have any advice?

| ye olde thorn tree06:15 UTC16 Dec 2002 | club masa I grew up in hawaii and actually spent six month living in a house with Marcus Oliver, owner of Club Masa. I have also spent time in Fiji surfing with him and can tell you wholeheartedly that he is a good guy wh runs a good establishment. Don't get me wrong, it's no four seasons, but you'll be fed and sheltered at a great price and be 100 yards away from a great beach break. It blowes out in the afternoon so get up early for a good morning session. also, contact Ian Muller at Viti Surf. he knows fiji like the back of his hand and always has great suggestions for what to do after hours. If you contact eather of them, let them know Joseph From Hawaii gave you this info, and tell them to email me at publisher@rockymountainbullhorn.com
