Where should we go?

Hi there, we are planning our honeymoon for late August/early September. We are looking for someplace with diving and surfing but not too resortish. We are thinking Fiji but are open to anyplace. Any ideas?

Solomon Islands! If you are looking for somewhere not completely inundated by tourists. Don't pay too much attention to the DFAT travel advisories, there is too much politics involved in the content of those, my wife and 3 year old daughter and I have just returned from over 5 weeks there and had a great time. Would agree with no. 1, the Solomons is definetly a better option if you are looking at getting away from the "resorts on every island" and over tourism. The diving is much better then Fiji and we had no trouble travelling there earlier this year with 2 kids. Definetly get up to the Western Province, Gizo & Uepi Island Resort. Uepi is definetly the place to go for a honeymoon. Good luck.
