Where to go on Christmas ??

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi !
We 34 years old, would like to spend our Chrismas holiday but Where ???
we are off from 21st of december to 6th of january ! so roughly 17 days!
we love to dive, to climb, to beach but as well the wildlife, culture and adventure. we are not the cityguys but for 2 or 3 days why not ?

to give you an example from former holidays:
3 week tansania+Zanzibar: beaching at Zanzibar, diving at pemba, safari at the serengeti , walking in the usambara mountains
=> sort of perfect !
5 weeks in mexico: beaching on Yucatan, diving on belize, ruines of tikal, 3 days in Antigua, atitlan, hiking in Nebah, 3 Days in san cristobal,
hiking up the vulcanes,...
we travel everything we can get. thanks to our jobs we don“t have to travel on low low budget, but we love to travel on reasonable budget.
other places we visited already: southern africa, australia east, carlifornia,utah,... bahamas, cuba

So it would be great to get some advices from you guys where to go in this time of the year !
Thank you soooo much for your suggestions !!!

It's a big area. I suggest you read the FAQ's at the beginning of this branch first, and narrow it down a little. It's like saying "I'd like to go to Europe, any suggestions?"

Hi,
Like Raro, mentioned above, it is too general but when noting your interest of travel I would suggest you travel to Papua New Guinea and experience what Papua New Guinea has to offer because PNG is the home of culture, adventure trek/canoeing, mountain climbing and dive in some of the pristine waters of PNG etc. Coz I hope it will satisfy your dreams.

Ta!

You also might note that Sipani, above, has a PNG tour company website, so his opinion may be biased. Then again, PNG could be a could choice.

I agree with Crossie, if you don't like humidity, Dec/Jan is not a good time for most of the South Pacific. However, if it doesn't bother you, then check the FAQ's etc.
