Worth risking a dive trip to Santo in early November?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hello all, sorry if this is a re-post, my original version didn't seem to take!

Wondering whether it's worth risking a trip to go diving in Santo in Vanuatu in early November. I know it's best to go May - October but it's not looking good for me to be able to make it then. Just wondering whether the weather turns on a dime to churn up the water or if it's a gradual change, and thus we might get 50% good diving in.

Follow on question - There's a very small chance I could go in late October - are the chances good that the weather be much beater for diving if I did?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

T.

I doubt the weather will dramatically change with the turn of a calendar page, so the difference between late Oct and early Nov is likely to be minimal.

FWIW, I visited Santo in December and had great weather, with many people diving happily.

Obviously no one can predict the actual weather during your visit.
