Tuvalu - Sea Levels

Has anybody out there been to Tuvalu in the past year or so? I have read about the rising sea levels there and elsewhere in the South Pacific and have seen TV images of villages flooded and people in considerable distress. But is this what is occurring NOW on the ground or are these projections for the FUTURE?

Pay attention to Pacific News eg Radio Australia, or NZ) services this weekend, as King tides are predicted with the full moon.
I can assure you, it is happening NOW in low-lying parts of Solomon Islands.

Having just been there I saw no flooded villages and no people in distress.
They seem a rather contended lot and many don't believe in rising sea levels at all.
