| born2travell12:25 UTC16 Aug 2014 | hi guys
we r going to spend, hopefully, one week in this amazing island
we r finalizing our itinerary and we need your help to find out some important info
first of all, we have read that the famous "jumpers" are in Pentecoste island... is it the only place where we can see this activity?
we weere thinking about spendin 2-3 days in port vila (and visit the island) and then flying to espiritu santo for 2-3 more days
what would u do if u had 1 week to spend there?
thanks in advance

| rivaltribal05:38 UTC20 Aug 2014 | Could be wrong....but pretty sure the 'jumpers' are only on that island (and between May-June, or April-June...)??
What to do...? That depends what interests YOU the most....beaches/snorkelling/diving/culture...????
I am here now, for 2 weeks though, and the MAIN deciding factor that brought me here rather than elsewhere is to visit the Yasur volcano on Tanna..

| born2travell15:08 UTC21 Aug 2014 | u went there just for the vulcano?

| born2travell16:23 UTC24 Aug 2014 | we r thinking to change our itinerary and insert tanna instead of espiritu

| rivaltribal08:54 UTC26 Aug 2014 | hi...am on Santo now...as I said...depends what YOU want to see/do most....??...I wanted a bit of beach bunglow time, but was trying to decide between Vanuatu and Vietnam...opted for here mainly as I wanted to see the volcano...so, allowed 5 days on Tanna and 5 days on Santo. If you are more interested in snorkelling/diving then do Santo..?
(there are also some ocean view bungalows on Tanna)

i have been twice to vietnam and it's a great country too
tell me
have u booked inner flights and accomodations from your country or when u arrived in vila or directly in the island?

| rivaltribal19:05 UTC26 Aug 2014 | hi...I bought my domestic flights online Air Vanuatu website before I left...and booked my rooms before I left...
With Air Vanuatu, IF you fly international in and out with them you get 20% off domestic tickets, BUT you have to buy the tickets here (Vanuatu) and then they slug you 7.5% VAT. You can also get a 4 flight 'pass', for around $490oz I think it is, BUT that has to be bought before you come here.
(from OZ I flew into Port Villa with Virgin, and will fly out of Santo with AV - to Brisbane)
www.vanuatu.travel is a handy website...found my accommodation there....IF you do go to Tanna there are plenty of bungalows listed on that website near the volcano...mostly basic with shared toilet/shower facilities.....confirm current prices with any you decide on....they usually take several days to reply to emails as they only get internet when on the west coast of the island..

| born2travell15:52 UTC27 Aug 2014 | great
do u think we'd better book inner flights from here then?
we ll use air vanuatu to get to vila from fiji

| rivaltribal19:53 UTC27 Aug 2014 | up to you...if you know your Itinerary pretty well sorted then you might as well.
Also depends how many domestic flights you will take...work out the prices for those on the AV website, and if it is cheaper to buy the 4 ticket 'pass' then contact a AV sales office to buy that.

| born2travell12:00 UTC28 Aug 2014 | we ll take only 2 inner flights
