Accommodation around Mt Yasur, Tanna

Just sharing my accommodation experience near Mt Yasur. We were there 4th/5th July 2014. We stayed at Mountain Breeze. 2500 vatu a night for a double. The owner Josef was friendly and his daughters adorable. The bungalows themselves were very very basic. The single western toilet did not flush and had enough fecal material to start its own ecosystem. The showers were hand bucket showers. When we were there, the generator did not work and you required candles/torches at night. Note also the doors to the thatched bungalows did not have locks. My recommendation would be to consider alternate accommodation in the area. They are all similarly price and all bungalows owners are related in some way through family connections. I noted a very cool, structurally sound treehouse (I think it was part of jungle oasis?) wish we had stayed there - it was on the 'main' road.
