Accommodation in TannaCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Vanuatu
Hi all, i have done a little research already, but thought id ask for some advice...
I can recommend Tanna Evergreen Bungalows on the west coast near the airport. It will tick most of your boxes but you will probably have to do without the fan as they use a generator which is shut down around 10pm. We were there in September '06 and found we did not need a fan. The staff/owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. There is a restaurant on site for lunch and dinner(they provide a simple breakfast with your tariff) and you can walk to the nearby White Grass Resort for a change of pace at their lovely restaurant. I'm sorry but I can't recall the exact meal prices but they were reasonable. Tanna is definitely worth the effort and cost - the trip to the volcano from Evergreen was the hightlight of our 7 week SP trip. | 1
Thanks alot - I appreciate your suggestion. | 2
I recommend Leneai Palms resort The food was great, the acoomodations were more than adequate, and they organized several tours directly out of their facility. The owners, Ron and Anne, were both awesome and I could tell were both highly regarded by the locals. | 3
I can thoroughly recommend the Friendly Bungalows. Mind you, it's been a few years - however if you want a bit of an adventure and would love to feel like you've stepped into the set of Gilligans Island, then this is the place for you. | 4
