Accommodation in Vanuatu with a 2 year oldCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Vanuatu
We are planning a trip to Vanuatu shortly and trying to sort out some kid friendly accommodation. Does anyone have any pros or cons to say about either Poppy's on the lagoon or the Lagoon Beach resort (am asuming they are relatively close to each other, for some reason my google skills are failing me tonight and I can't get a map of the Lagoon Beach place) or anywhere else we haven't thought of? We really don't want to share a room with the munchkin, or at least have living space separate from the bedroom, so that rules out a lot of the resorts. And loads of activities etc aren't really necessary, somewhere with a hammock for books, a cool breeze, space for LC to run around, and a kitchen or basic cooking facilities will do. Thanks L)
Have a look at Tradewinds Resort - it is in the same area as Poppy's. We had the 2 bedroom and were very pleased with how nice it was. It is a fairly small place but has a pool and laundry facilities. | 1
Check out these great places (different budgets): Pacific Lagon Apartments, Benjor, Snorkellers Cove, Seachange Lodge, Chez Troppo, and the latest to open: Pandamus Apartments in : http://www.vanuatu-hotels.vu. | 2
There are small apartments at Chantilly's and Hideaway. The two are quite different types of place with Chantilly's in town and close to everything while Hideaway is further North and more isolated. | 3
while the overall tone is (painfully) nannyish the trip advisor ( port vila) forum has heaps of discussion of every detail of each accommodation type, and while i loathe to use it for general travel advice you can't beat it for accommodation recs in a place like van | 4
