Christmas in Vanuatu

Am going to be in Vanuatu over Christmas and am wondering what the usual Christmas celebrations over there are like? What do people do? Also, I realise that most things will be shut on christmas and boxing day, but what about food markets? will they be open, or will i need to stock up before that? Will there be anything happening around Port Vila? Just wondering what to expect over the few days of Christmas...
