from Europe to Vanuatu

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Vanuatu

Hello,

What is the cheapest way to fly from Europe to Vanuatu?
- with Air New Zealand to Fiji, and then to Vanuatu?
- with any airline to Los Angeles, and then with Air Pacific?
- any other idea?
(I will be travelling in July next year)

Thank you in advance
Mike

What about via Australia - many more airlines fly from Europe to Australia, and Air Vanuatu flies out of Sydney and Brisbane.

Thanks Helen,

I was not thinking before about the route via Australia.
Now I will check this option and will try to compare the costs.

Europe to Sydney is cheap (via seoul is probably the cheapest). Then Sydney straight to vanuatu with air vanuatu (qantas codeshare) will be the quickest and most likely the cheapest (if you book on air vanuatu's site)

Via AU is likely to be cheapest indeed.
I'd also check Virgin's fares from AU to Vila!

Though Korean Air to Fiji is also worth looking into, especially if interested in a free stopover in Korea.
From Fiji to Vila, Air Pacific is pretty cheap.

I\m going to Vanuatu in March/April and I will be flying Oslo-London-HK-Brisbane-Vila. (and back)

Oslo to Brisbane t/r with BA/Cathay Pacific. Price: About 2000 USD
Brisbane to Vila t/r with Pacific Blue. Price 450 USD
Total price about 2450 USD

You might find that a round the world ticket might cost the least.

One world Alliance- Qantas code shares with Air Vanuatu

Star Alliance- Air NZ flies into Port Vila.
