I have booked a flight from Port Vila to Tanna in vanuatu but they have only given me 10kg for baggage, I have a rucksack of about 15-20kg, does anyone have experience of flying with airvanuatu from port vila? is there anywhere i can leave some baggage for 3-4 days or upgrade on my baggage to 20kg? i have booked directly with the air company, any help would be much appriciated adam
I don't have any experience with the carrier in question but many times you can get by with a heavy or excess bag despite the published guidelines. If you can afford the worst-case scenario (high $ penalty) there's probably a good chance you'll sneak by. Smile and be nice! | 1
The airline will probably weigh both you and the bags, as they do with all light planes. If there is too much weight, both cargo and passengers can get bumped. If the plane is not full, you can take extra. I took a small television on an interisland flight in Solomon Islands once, as well as my luggage. Edited by: Amy Johnston | 2
