Horse Riding and Money exchange

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Vanuatu

We are going to vanautu tomorrow (I know , late notice!!).
Has anyone been horseriding on Tanna? What shall we take to wear and what shoes?
Also, I haven't got any travellers cheques or money exchanged. I heard you can get money changed at the airport and that some places accept Australian Dollars. Is that true?

Thanks

Not gone riding, sorry.

Easy to change money in Vila.

I could never understand why some tourists want to pay with their home currency when holidaying abroad - while it might be accepted at certain tourist-oriented places (more in Vila than in Tanna), it is almost invariably a sure way to pay more for the same thing than if paying with the local currency.
Changing money takes one minute or so - surely not THAT hard?
