| jaym0112:55 UTC07 Jun 2007 | I was trying to book a guide to take us from Vetmet Bungalows to Bae Luk on Ambryn, but the address I got referred to via positive earth (below) tells me that Island Safaris (the group I had been trying) in Vanuatu is now 'dead' and my e-mail got bounced. Does anyone know of another e-mail/web address for booking a guide for this trek? I don't really want to rock up and find that I can't do the volcano trip, as it's what I'm intending to go all that way for!

Try vanuatu-hotels.vu for a range of genuine accommodation from budget up, covering many Vanuatu islands. John and Silvana can take your bookings, organise transfers etc, or you will be able to google the accom and maybe contact the place you want to stay directly by phone. van-hotels might give you a bit of a start anyway. You can talk to John/Silvana directly by email too, they may have some more suggestions. Have you been to Mt Yasur volcano on Tanna? I went in 2006, it's amazing! At the end of this year I'm going back for 2 weeks and staying nice and close at Port Resolution Yacht Club (which isnt as fancy as it sounds!) Jungle bungalows, near the volcano looked interesting too. Happy volcano tracking! Jo

Contact places directly. Transport can be arranged on almost evry island through the provincialgovernment offices.
