Malekula Festivals & John Frum village

I'll be traveling in Vanuatu in late July through mid August. If anyone else is traveling independently, I would welcome travel buddies as possible. I'm particularly interested in finding someone who is interested in attending the Namagi Luwan Festival July 28-31st in Malekula. It is in a small nambas village. If anyone has been to this event or Melkin village and can provide any information that would be helpful.

Also I'm going to Tanna and would like to stay near the John Frum village the first night so that I can visit their Friday night singing. Any suggestions for nearby accomodations?
