nomads moorings hotel

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Vanuatu

travelling to vanuatu in october, just wondering if anyone knows anything about the new 'flashpackers' ?

Nice place just renovated new rooms, pool etc. Good restaurant, good location, nice outlook and 10 minutes walk to town centre. Probably cheaper around in as good a location but it is a nice place right on the water.

Great place to have a quiet beer while solving world problems and gazing at the water. The dormitory part of the hotel is reasonable but the private hotel rooms, whilst fantastic, are around 10-12,000vatu/night.
Just up the hill is a b&b called 'Room with a View' where we stayed. Great verandah, private rooms with cooking facilities (although the beds are really hard). Around 4,500-5,500 vatu/night.
cheers

ps Kaiviti (other end of town) also has cooking facilities BUT they're renovating so, unless you want to wake up at 7.30am to the sound of builders tromping on the roof above...steer clear!
