Places to stay in Port Vila

Hi - I'm heading to Vanuatu (yeeha!) in late July, starting in Port Vila. Villa Hibiscus sounds like the best budget option for accommodation, going by LP. Is it still good? Or can someone recommend better? Cheap/cheerful/central are priorities, not comfort/beach access. Thanks muchly.

Check with Agoda, they seem to have the best prices (better than Tavelocity or Expidia anyway). I saw the listing for the Travellers Inn (or some such name) for $37 Aus, and another hotel in Pt Vila for $50 Aus.

City Lodge rite in the centre of town across from the market is good too - has dorm, fan, or air con rooms about $50 NZ from memory in Jan this year

Aha! That's the hotel I was thinking of but had forgotten the name. Note to self - use Agoda.nz next time :-)

Try sportsmens hotel. They have rooms starting from 2000Vt, and I have made plans to stay there too in end of July.
