Port Vila backpacking

We are wanting to go to Hideway island port vila middle of next month - May. Does anyone know whether it will be worth it after cyclone Pam? thanks.

I was following the situation there on a Facebook page called "Humans of Vanuatu" - you could try posting a question there as the page owner has answered other posters about the ongoing recovery. He had posted quite a few photos of the damage done.
