Hello Given that I have only three weeks to travel in Vanuatu, which islands would you recommend me not to miss? Thank You
Hi Eli, Besides Efate, Santo and Tanna are the best equipped islands for tourists. There is a lot to see and do in Santo- diving, Champagne Beach, the blue holes, snorkeling over Million Dollar Point, Millenium Cave and probably a way to get to a custom village. Tanna has the volcano and some villages that accept tourists. Those are the easiest places to travel in Vanuatu. 3-5 days on Santo and 3 days on Tanna would be enough time to do most things. Efate is nice though too with the cascades, drive around the island, visit to various resorts, day or overnight trips to neighbouring islands like Moso, Lelepa, Nguna. With some Bislama, a sense of adventure and a ready to rough it attitude, you can see and do so much more. That takes a lot more time and effort but the best treks I've ever done are on Maewo and Pentecost. People rarely go there (except for land diving on Pentecost between April and June) because it is so difficult to arrange things and really off the beaten track. Big Water on Maewo is a Disney-esque waterfall beyond your wildest dreams. Pentecost has some ultra custom villages still living the way they did 200 years ago (though with every tourist, I'm sure that is rapidly changing). Good luck. It's a great place to visit no matter where you go. | 1

If anyone is interested, the volcano on Ambrym has become a little more active. Nothing huge but maybe some good photographs. | 3
