| yedra19:42 UTC10 Jan 2011 | Hello all, my friend and I will be travelling to Vanuatu within a couple of weeks and will stay there approximately 3 to 4 months. I was searching in the internet about short or even long term rental apartments / bungalows etc. and could also find some information about places and prices but I have the feeling that those prices stated in the internet (starting with 170.000 Vatu per month) are already higher level prices. Does anybody know if these are the average prices for rentals or are these just the common internet prices from real estates? Is it better to look after accommodation / rental directly in Efate for example? Credit cards will just be accepted from bigger hotels / resorts isn“t it? Maybe some of you who know Vanuatu well do have already some helpful advice in that matter or even some contact details ?
Many thanks in advance Melanie

Pluses: easy flat walk to supermarket, plenty of buses right outside, a few restaurants close by
Minuses : noisy, the walk back from the market is uphill
